Covance Procurement Coordinator in United States

Job Overview

Covance is a global leader in Life Science solutions and Food testing services. This role will be based in Singapore and report to Supply Chain Supervisor, and will be working closely with outsourced 3rd party service provider, internal end users and external vendors on a daily basis.

Main responsibilities

  • Purchase requisition approval and purchase order (PO) modification

  • Create POs as and when required

  • Tracking of order confirmation and vendor deliveries

  • Items management - setup, inactivation, pricing update in the system

  • Invoice resolutions

  • Respond to queries/requests in a timely and professional manner

  • Participate in improvement projects when required

  • Ad hoc tasks due to business needs

Education/Qualifications

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in any field

Experience

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing

  • Experience of ERP system, Oracle PeopleSoft preferred

  • Computer savvy with fair excel skills

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

  • Character/Personality

  • Positive working attitude with strong sense of responsibility and urgency, high integrity and respect for others.

  • Comfortable to follow instructions given

  • Willing to take on additional tasks when assigned

  • Mature and able to control emotions

  • Good team player with strong team work spirit

  • Self-motivated, result-driven, detail-oriented

  • Comfortable to work overtime once a while if required
