Covance Sr HR Business Analyst in Princeton, New Jersey

Job Overview

The Senior Human Resource (HR) Business Analyst is primarily responsible for the development of technology solutions that support business requirements. This includes partnering with HR leaders within our Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Business Units to understand requirements, mapping data flows among applications, developing a long-term HR technology integration strategy, and building a business case for the requisite technology solutions. Working with minimal supervision, this role is also responsible for driving process excellence and best practice project governance when overseeing deployment of technology solutions to the business. As required, this role will collaborate with IT or manage third-party technical resources to build and deploy agreed upon solution. This position is also responsible for ongoing HR application data management, including partnering with stakeholders and vendors on the resolution of issues and implementation of technology enhancements, fixes and upgrades. As needed, this role provides data management consulting or back-up support for HR cloud-based applications and associated partnering relationships, but not limited to the following:


Minimum Required:

4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or Human Resources Management

Project Management Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus


Minimum Required

  • 6-8 Years of experience in PeopleSoft HR systems, including understanding of functional configuration, integration with third party systems, testing and support

  • Experience with hiring or applicant tracking systems such as iCims

  • Experience with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, support and documentation

  • Experience with HR processes, recruitment processes preferred

  • Experience with translating functional requirements into technical specifications

  • Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, with a high level of competency in MS Project, Excel, Access and Visio

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact and influence individuals at all levels within the organization
