About the Team:
The Phanrmacometrics Group within the Metabolism department provides a range of services for clients including PK modeling and simulation, physiological based models and in silico drug-drug interaction assessments,and human PK profile and clinical dosing predictions.
Internship Assignment Summary:
Gather relevant information using literature searches to obtain information required to build PBPK models for relevant drugs.
Work with scientists to build and verify PBPK models for reference drugs relevant to clinical drug-drug interactions.
Assemble case studies presenting PBPK models and in silico drug-drug interaction assessments.
Assist with other typs of modeling opportunities within the group to develop PK and or PK/PD models supporting drug development in the preclinical or clinical space.
Working towards doctorate degree in a pharmacokinetics related field
Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues
Strong understanding and familiarity with compartmental PK and physiological based PK modeling
Experience or knowledge with software such as WinNonlin Phoenix, SimCyp, GastroPlus or similar is a plus
