Do you have at least 2 years' experience working in a flow cytometry laboratory and at least 1 year experience with analysis of flow cytometric data? Great! We need your skills at Covance. We are hiring a Flow Cytometry Analyst to join our rapidly growing global team in Indianapolis, IN.
This is a first shift opportunity with a $5,000 Sign On bonus when you join the Covance team. In addition, if you move to Indianapolis, we will assist you with relocation costs. Thinking of continuing on in school? Covance also offers tuition reimbursement.
Here is the experience you need:
Flow Cytometry Analysis experience is required. Data analysis experience with WinList is preferred, however experience using FlowJo or FCS Express is acceptable.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Processes flow cytometric samples acquired.
Analyzes and organizes daily flow cytometry QC data.
Notifies the laboratory and/or supervisor immediately of any assay related problems that would require sample reprocessing.
Assists with the organization of study data and associated information required for final study reports.
Maintains appropriate records.
Complete timely review of new or revised SOPs circulated for peer review.
Assist with training of new employees.
Assist with the development of training material, training checklists, and competency assessment programs.

- Associate’s degree in medical laboratory testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Chemical, Physical or Biological Science from an accredited college or university and one year training and/or experience in the specialty in which testing is to be performed. Training should be equivalent to that received in a school of Medical Technology.
- Completion of an Accredited Clinical Laboratory Training Program or 1 year documented laboratory training or experience in the specialty that testing is to be performed (along with 90 semester hours from an accredited institution) that include: 16 hours of biology pertinent to the medical sciences and 16 hours of chemistry with 6 hours of Inorganic Chemistry and 3 hours of math.
At least 2 years experience working in a flow cytometry laboratory.
At least 1 year experience with analysis of flow cytometric data.
FlowJo, FCS Express, etc. is required.
Experience in data analysis with WinList (preferred).
Significant experience with Microsoft Excel is also preferred.
