Covance is hiring a Clinical Algorithm Analyst for our Indianapolis, IN location. The Clinical Analyst I is responsible for designing and maintaining reflex definitions to meet client timelines and expectations.
The Clinical Analyst I, should be experienced with clinical trial development. We are looking for candidates with strong communication and analytical skills.
Effectively tests reflexes, including creating and documenting test criteria, using internal testing tools
Analyze and determine database requirements by interacting with the client teams, global laboratories and other internal departments
Acts in a consultative approach to determine the feasibility of the request and propose database solutions
Ensures that customer expectations are documented and acted upon in compliance with regulatory requirements
Identify and request missing information required to perform work
Provide direct support to troubleshoot and solve database related issues relating to reflex definitions
Manage technical changes, issues and concerns of varied complexity work with little to no guidance, but requires some guidance for complex work
Participate in team tasks related to executing operational activities
Complying with Covance Central Laboratory Services (CLS) Global Project Management and Data Services strategy
Supporting a culture of continuous improvement, quality and productivity
Maintain workflow tools for traceability daily
Responsible for delivering quality technical services
Ensure the consistent use of SOPs and Work Instructions
Manage departmental SOPs and Work Instructions to ensure they are kept updated and accurate, as well as ensuring staff understands how to implement the process defined
Minimum Required (any of the below combinations are acceptable):
Bachelor Degree, Medical Technology with one (1) year clinical laboratory experience
Bachelor Degree, Science with two (2) years clinical laboratory experience
Associate Degree, Medical Laboratory Technician with three (3) years clinical laboratory experience.
Experience with clinical trial development.
Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated success negotiating routine job-related situations.
Demonstrated high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to understand and work with basic logic.
Ability to use computer applications (e.g. Windows, Word, Excel).
