Covance Admin Logistics I in Indianapolis, Indiana
The incumbent will be accountable for the efficient management of day-to-day Logistics project management activities and supporting all lab and non-lab functions within the enterprise when appropriate. The incumbent will be in charge of the implementation and sub-sequent follow up of special projects and services and will ensure timely follow-up on issues that might arise with during execution across the globe and to provide required contingencies plan if necessary.
The incumbent must demonstrate strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills and ability in communicating clearly/effectively with internal and external clients as well as vendors and regulatory bodies.
The incumbent must demonstrate a good understanding of regulatory environment and have a good understanding of capabilities across the enterprise.
The incumbent provides local support to the Global Logistics Operations team when required.
Essential Job Duties:
Manages client and site contacts when and where appropriate (per project or protocol requirements)
Manages Manufacturing requirements (per project or protocol requirements)
Coordinates communication and logistics requirements between sites and manufacturing facilities. Develops and deploys contingencies when required.
Provides timely progress updates to all required parties.
Monitors patient scheduling
Ensures regulatory compliance across all activities required to execute the service
Manages all aspects of the logistics requirements: scheduling, monitoring, contingency management, etc.
Work in cooperation with the internal departments and external regulatory bodies to ensure a seamless flow of supplies movement to meet needs.
Effective and timely adherence to management communications, meetings and procedures.
Strict adherence to company corporate policies
Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Logistics management.
The position has No Cost Center responsibility
The position has No responsibility on P&L and Budget

The communications with the above listed, but not limited to, departments will vary, in relation with the Department, and due to the nature of different Business needs, from daily structured email communications, phone calls, and shorts meetings to structured regular held calls/meetings.
Education/Qualifications:Education/Qualifications/Certifications and LicensesMinimum Required: Bachelor Degree ideally within Economics/Business field, or 5 year experience in the CRO industry.
Strong communication skills
Experience with CRO / Healthcare industry
Demonstrated strong customer satisfaction skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively
Ability to use computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the CRO industry, or a reputable international transportation company or an international industrial company with track records of managing operational activities
