In thisInside Sales Managerjob, you will be responsible for focused prospecting activity to open up new business opportunities.
We will trust you to leverage key prospecting tools and resources to uncover service line leads, nurture leads to move to qualified opportunity stage and effectively transfer opportunities to field sales.
Reporting to our Director of Inside Sales, you will be directly accountable for:
Achieving quarterly/annual lead generation goals, identifying and bringing on new accounts, developing the relationships within them and expanding client requests by understanding their Drug Development needs and showcasing Covance solutions
Managing lead generation tools, calls and web leads to qualify the clients’ needs and nurture the relationship
Developing client call cycle to achieve objectives and lead generation goals; follows up on all leads.
Selling the business unit’s capabilities and differentiation framework
Effectively transfer leads & opportunities to the appropriate Business Development Directors (field sales)
Leveraging Social selling tools to facilitate client outreach and driving awareness of Covance solutions.
Contributing towards sales proposals, RFIs, RFPs, quotations and providing input to ensure client and company requirements are met.
You can be based from Harrogate or Leeds, and for the ideal person we are able to offer some flexibility to work from home regularly (weekly presence at any of the Labs is needed).
Educated to a life Science degree.
Our ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience of selling central labs and/or preclinical services and solutions to the pharmaceutical sector,directly tomid-level and executive level decision makers.
We are also open to consider profiles with a strong scientific expertise in Central Labs and/or Preclinical Services (Safety Assessment, Toxicology, DMPK, Pharmacology) within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment, who want to grow into the field of Business Development.
Awareness of the broader drug development process and functional understanding of the regulatory requirements for drug development leading to product commercialization, will be advantageous.
