Covance Human Resources Black Belt in Burlington, North Carolina
Fully trained hands on Six Sigma expert responsible for being a change catalyst, leading improvement teams and working projects across businesses as part of the enterprise HR program management team. Initial focus will be on designing enterprise processes critical to the implementation of a new human capital management system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitates process improvement efforts and timely completion of improvement projects that support critical goals.
Aligns data, process and systems implications to develop ideal state processes and integrated data to support new technology implementation.
Challenges status quo and influences new ways of thinking.
Trains, mentors, challenges and inspires team members, and process owners in the use of Six Sigma techniques to create process management and measurement systems.
Develops and communicates business cases to support recommendations for change to current business practices and processes, and develops controls to monitor the progress associated with implementation of recommended changes.
Partners to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the employee experience, enhance productivity, and improve HR delivery.
Shares best practices across the organization.
Develops appropriate measurements and metrics to determine process performance.
Plans and executes process improvement projects that meet cost, resource and outcome expectations; manage complex and/or competing priorities effectively; and meet commitments in an accurate and timely manner.
Quantitative reasoning (comfortable with math concepts; ability to use statistical tools; ability to understand and draw conclusions from raw statistical data and develop metrics).
Certified Six Sigma Black belt with demonstrated technical competence (familiarity with process modeling and evaluation)
10 plus years of related business experience within or partnering with the HR function.
Prior experience in business process transformation for HR is a plus
Prior experience working with a large matrixed organization
Additional experience may be substituted for education requirements.
